The moment we’ve all been waiting for (or at least me and Val)! Our flight is in a couple of hours. I think everything is taken care of, and if it isn’t, hopefully it’s not a big deal. Although if we forget anything we can just pick it up on the road somewhere, so that’s reassuring. So I guess from here on out there will be actual pictures of cool places, videos, and of course travel tales from wherever we end up. Sounds exciting to me at least.

My goal is to post at least one new video per week, and multiple entries in the travelogue. Val will be putting up pictures whenever we have the chance to upload them from an internet cafe or a hostel with net access. And I’ll be looking to put some audio up with posts whenever that’s appropriate. And once things really get going, I should have a collection of sounds that you can download or listen to right off the site. And the last thing…you should download Google Earth because we’re bringing a GPS with us, and I can put coordinates on any post and it will show links to various mapping programs. It’s pretty neat being able to read about some place and then click a link and be taken to a satellite image of it.
