BTBtv Episode #11: Varanasi

Posted February 9th, 2007 by Kevin Allgood

In this episode we’ve got footage from the fascinating city of Varanasi, located on the banks of the holy Ganges river. There’s not much more to say than that, the place speaks for itself.

What a great job. I really appreciate your efforts to provide attractive production, titles, carefully chosen music. The walk through the city reminds me of getting lost in the old souk in Cairo 30 years ago. That was one of my favorite places in the world.

Keep up the wonderful project. I’ll try to spread the word a bit.

    Best regards

Magical. I’ve spent time in Varanasi, and you really evoked a sense of the place. Gotta love the cow traffic jams. And all the horns blaring. And the general commotion and mayhem of the old city.

    Keep up the great work!

    Shep-
It’s always nice to hear from new people who’ve stumbled across us. Ever since my first visit to Cairo there’s been something about the place bringing me back again and again. It’s interesting seeing how there are so many similarities between places we’ve seen so far, and yet they can be completely different! Thanks and take care.

    Mike-
