BTBtv Episode #9: The Kathmandu Valley

Posted January 16th, 2007 by Kevin Allgood

In our latest episode of BTBtv, we check out many of the sights around the Kathmandu Valley. We’ve got a charmless snake charmer, old temples, cremation ghats, ancient cities, a huge stupa, and lots and lots of prayer flags. Oh yeah, and a few monkeys too. In case you’re taking notes, we visit Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, Patan, Bhaktapur, Boudnath, the Monkey Temple, and Pashupatinath. Enjoy!

val, you look *so* not happy when he puts that cobra by your face. yikes! anyway, it is great how you guys are getting more and more relaxed (and natural) in front of the camera at the same time that the episodes are getting more and more professional. sasuga, keval!

Thanks Camilla! Happy New Year to you too.

Chocobuns - thanks. We’re still waiting for the rest of your thoughts.

tomo - I’m not even sure that was a cobra. All that guy’s snakes were on valium or something, but we only figured that out after watching the footage. At the time it was a little crazy. Glad you think we’re getting better, we’d certainly like the think so!

Yeah, I thought he wanted me to come over to take a picture a little closer…then I just thought, what the hell, I’ll hold a couple of snakes. But as he kept piling them on, I was ready to be done! Not doing it again. :)
